This morning’s breakfast presentation here at Citylabs. An informative and inspirational presentation by Professor Jackie Oldham (Director, Corridor Manchester Health Innovation), Claire Lowe (Partnership Manager, Corridor Manchester), Keith Chantler (Director of Innovation at Central Manchester Hospitals), and Sir Richard Leese (leader of Manchester City Council). We are extremely proud to have our facility here in the heart of Manchester’s Innovation Corridor with direct links to The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Manchester University’s, and government agencies.
Manchester Corridors innovation district is home to an exceptional group of knowledge-intensive organisations and businesses operating in areas of health, higher education, and creative industries, on course to be a top five distinctive and remarkable innovation district in Europe. Health Innovation forms one of the key priority areas comprising a dense, globally accessible, innovation cluster at the heart of a Greater Manchester’s population of 3 million people. It’s a place where multiple partners and the public work side by side and join forces to improve health and social care, promote wellness, reduce healthcare costs, enhance job creation and provide an engine for economic growth. It does this by leveraging and promoting Greater Manchester assets, catalysing collaboration / partnerships and accelerating healthcare innovation, biomedical science transformation, diagnostics, treatments and services.
