OM-19 is remarkable in its quality, with high performance and personalised ergonomics, offering the world’s first independently controlled light intensity adjustment for coaxial and red reflex illumination. Surgeons appreciate this feature in particular, as it gives full control to adjust the exact illumination required depending on the surgery conditions.
OM-19 LED illumination system is designed to offer the most effective visualisation during surgeries. As a result, OM-19 offers two independent LED light sources with a specific colour temperature for both red reflex and coaxial illumination, providing an excellent colour balance for each.
For example, during cataract surgery, the reflected light from the fundus is exceptionally bright with a natural red colour, offering a clear view for the surgeon to see and extract the cataract lens fully. In addition to this, the blue LED wavelength is reduced with the blue correction filter to protect the patients’ eyes.
The working distance for vitreoretinal surgery is optimised with the objective lens of 200mm focal length. Additionally, the 10x magnification eyepieces offer a large depth of focus with a brighter and sharper view compared to previous models.
The optical resolution of cutting-edge optics made in Japan, offers individual focus adjustment and magnification also for the coaxial assistant microscope.
