Takagi’s exclusive distribibutor for the UK ‘Carleton’ exhibited the OM-18 Operation Microscope and 300XL Slit Lamp at the recent RCO exhibition in Birmingham, England. Carleton and Takagi’s relationship has been established for more than 25 years giving Takagi an excellent business partner and distributor for the UK and Ireland.
The Takagi OM-18 Operation Microscope took centre stage and was exhibited with full high definition 3CCD camera system and assistants microscope. The OM-18 is fully equiped with diverse illumination optics, red reflex, apochromatic objective, with high eyepoint and wide field eyepieces to give the surgeon an optimum field of view. The OM-18 offers complete versatility and can be fitted with video system, assistants microscope, Laser, and BIOM for advanced surgical procedures.
The Takagi 300XL Slit Lamp was exhibited complete with the Iridex laser system. The Takagi 300XL was specifically designed for mounting laser systems and offers superior visualisation to the operator while performing laser therapy to the retina. The improved visualisation enables the laser pulse to be used for shorter periods which improves the outcome of the laser therapy. This system was mounted to the Takagi ST-40 Auto Desk complete with UN-21 Full Reclining Patient Chair.
